The eTech|Ohio Educational Technology Conference starts Monday in Columbus. This is the tenth year for the conference, which usually draws several thousand people.

The theme of this year’s conference is “Transforming Education Through Technology,” with conference strands covering classroom integration, e-learning, emerging technologies, leadership and planning, infrastructure and support, and staff development. Keynote speakers this year include oceanographer Robert Ballard, inventor and futurist Ray Kurzweil, and PBS president and CEO Paula Kerger. Additionally, the conference will offer more than 300 concurrent sessions, teacher and student displays, emerging and assistive technology areas, and vendor exhibits.

Unfortunately, there is not much opportunity for remote participation. As far as I know, the conference is not planning to do live broadcasting of any of the conference’s proceedings, and there has been no mention of archived audio or video being made available online, though some presenters do this on their own.
